District Manager - Baseline Fitness
Responsible for managing everything within the four walls for all Planet Fitness locations in a defined Planet Fitness district. District managers will have between 4-8 locations per district, including 4-8 club manager direct reports.
Job SummaryMaintains outstanding and consistent customer experience throughout all Planet Fitness locations within the district. Ensures operational consistency among all clubs within the region, including brand standards, club cleanliness, policy implementation, weekly payroll approval, facility maintenance and repair, vendor and inventory management, hiring, coaching, developing, reviewing and potentially disciplining club managers, and building a bench for club manager positions. Performs monthly club facility BER inspections and completes club manager monthly bonus sheets.
Manages communication with all operations personnel within the district and coordinates “District PE at PF” training and planning. Provides 100% operations coverage, may fill as club manager when a club has no manager, and handles all incoming email complaints and mystery shops.
- Maintain outstanding and consistent customer experience throughout all Planet Fitness locations within the district.
- Ensure operational consistency among clubs, including brand standards, cleanliness, policy implementation, payroll approval, facility maintenance, repairs, vendor and inventory.
- Hire, coach, develop, review and handle potential disciplinary actions of club managers.
- Develop and train staff to build a bench for club manager positions.
- Perform monthly BER inspections and complete bonus sheets.
- Effectively manage communication with all operations personnel and club managers.
- Coordinate “District PE at PF” training, weekly planning, class tracking, and monthly trainer calls.
- Ensure 100% operational coverage; may fill in as club manager when necessary.
- Handle all incoming email complaints and mystery shop results.
- District manager schedules are approved by the regional manager monthly.
- Spend approximately 70% of time in the clubs; remaining time in office or traveling.
- Communicate with customers, coworkers and public to exceed expectations; actively listen, empathize and resolve issues.

- High school diploma.
- Willingness to travel.
- At least 2‑3 years of multi‑unit experience overseeing a minimum of four locations.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization and leadership skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
