Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build strong project teams, ensuring quality, customer satisfaction, scope management, timely delivery, and budget adherence.
  • Drive division profitability through effective project execution.
  • Lead project management goals, procurement, contractual requirements, personnel assignments, and capacity planning.
  • Improve departmental systems and processes to meet customer needs and profitability.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 3 direct and 10 total reports.
  • Review contractual requirements and design methodologies for projects.
  • Ensure project schedules are met, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Communicate with customers to validate expectations before, during, and after project completion.
  • Oversee third-party construction firms.
  • Manage project financials, including forecasting and change orders.
  • Ensure high-quality engineering and project delivery.
  • Communicate challenges, risks, and successes proactively.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in electrical commercial/mixed-use construction.
  • Understanding of electric power engineering.
  • Field experience coordinating with construction management.
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
  • Ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
  • Proven ability to manage a profitable portfolio.
  • Excellent initiative, execution, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Electrical engineering or Construction Management degrees preferred.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician's license is a plus.
