Overview

The Loader position is the final stage of the production process. This process includes pulling windows from the correct rack that have been staged for shipment and loaded onto the correct trailer. This position must focus on proper loading techniques and securing techniques in order to ensure employee safety and items reach their destination without damage. The Loader confirms that all orders are complete, accurate, and properly documented before leaving the plant.

• Employees must follow all company safety procedures regarding proper loading techniques while placing windows and patio doors onto the trailers.
• Locate windows in staging area, place on cart and transport to outgoing truck according to shipping destination.
• Securely position windows in trucks by utilizing fastening and protective devices such as ratchet straps, shipping pillows and cardboard.
• Use scanner to allow for digital tracking of outgoing and incoming windows (inventory management).
• This position may include the use of a motorized or manual pallet jack as well as a tow motor and must have the proper training and certification from our safety department to use this machinery.

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse or shipping environment
• Ability to read and comprehend English
• Use, understand, and thoroughly read a tape measure
• Commitment to safety and strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.

• Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
• Must be able to lift to 150 lbs. with assistance.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and is required to be worn daily.
