An established manufacturer is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Manager to lead a key area of its manufacturing operation. This role combines daily production leadership with a strong emphasis on developing department managers, maintaining quality and staffing standards, and keeping teams aligned across shifts.

We're looking for a leader who is comfortable making decisions, addressing performance issues, and holding people accountable while giving them the tools and support to succeed. You bring urgency without losing perspective, welcome input, and take pride in helping others improve.

• Lead second-shift production, aligning staffing, resources, and priorities with plant goals and customer commitments.
• Coach and develop department managers and supervisors, setting clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and team performance.
• Coordinate with first- and third-shift managers to maintain clear communication, effective handoffs, and consistent execution.
• Monitor production results, address staffing or workflow gaps, and adjust priorities as plant needs change.
• Investigate quality and production issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting corrective actions.
• Use lean and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste and improve operating performance.
• Partner with plant leadership, engineering, HR, and continuous improvement teams on employee development and operational improvements.
• Build a workplace where employees feel respected, understand expectations, and take ownership of results.

• 3-5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or an applicable field.
• The ability to motivate teams, develop other leaders, and address performance concerns directly and respectfully.
• Strong organizational skills and the judgment to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Practical problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
• A commitment to safety, quality, staffing discipline, and reliable production.

• Availability to work the second-shift schedule on-site, with flexibility as production needs change.
