We are seeking a Hospice Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our dedicated team 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide symptom management, pain control, and emotional support to patients and their families in accordance with hospice care standards.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice and ensure proper documentation of all clinical activities.
- Educate patients and families about disease progression, treatment options, and end-of-life care preferences.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license in the state of practice.
- Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
- Proven experience in hospice, palliative, or geriatric care is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of hospice regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Requirements REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSN and certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) from an approved Nursing program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with specialization in adult-gerontology, palliative care, or hospice care and a minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner, preferably.
- Currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Iowa.
- Two years of hospice or home health nursing experience preferred.
- Proof of driver’s license and current insurance coverage.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and prescriptive skills.
- Knowledge of palliative care principles, pain management strategies, and end-of-life care best practices.
