American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pre/Post-Op position requiring Iowa or compact license and 24 months of pre/post-op, PACU, or cardiac experience.

• Hospital-based Pre/Post-Op unit with 2 procedure beds and 3 pre/post bays
• Non-invasive cardiology procedures including TEE, cardioversions, stress testing, and pre/post procedural care
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, starting 7/7:30a and ending around 1630/1700
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• May float to Cardiac & Vascular Holding
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of experience in pre/post op, PACU, or cardiac/cardiology setting required
• TEE experience required
• Cardioversion experience required
• Stress testing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of experience

• Provide pre/post-op nursing care for patients undergoing non-invasive cardiology procedures
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at other UPH facilities or markets if employed within the past 12 months
