American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU/Cardiac Holding position requiring Cath Lab or PACU experience and compact or IA RN licensure.

• Work in the Cardiac Holding Area with float assistance to Vascular Holding and possibly Diagnostic Cardiology
• 19 pre/post op rooms with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient population includes prep/post heart cath, Cardiac Cath, and possibly EP procedures
• Requires groin and radial site management and TR band management
• Days shift, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hour shifts beginning as early as 0600 with later start times based on case load
• 40 hours per week with no weekends or on-call requirements
• Floating required, possibly across Vascular Holding and Diagnostic Cardiology
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 15 months of Cath Lab, critical care, and/or PACU experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Pre and post-op/recovery experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Groin and radial site management experience required
• TR band management experience required
• 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, or Pre/Post Op Surgery experience required on work history/resume
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op required
• One professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months highly preferred
• Valid driver's license required

• Provide nursing care to patients before and after cardiac catheterization and related procedures
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN in the float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at any UPH facility within 12 months
• First-time travelers welcomed with at least 36 months of relevant experience
