Bright Star Care of Iowa is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide in-home skilled nursing care and weekday coverage for our clients throughout the Cedar Rapids Metro area
.

We are looking for dependable RNs with weekday availability who can help cover scheduled client visits and ongoing nursing needs. Opportunities may include skilled nursing visits, infusion therapy, and other home health services based on client needs and your experience.

Home health experience is preferred but not required. Training, orientation, and clinical support are provided.

• Starting pay of $45 per hour base pay $50 per hour for infusions

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide skilled nursing care to clients in their homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Covering weekday client visits and scheduled nursing needs
• Performing initial and ongoing nursing assessments
• Developing and updating individualized plans of care
• Providing skilled nursing visits
• Administering IV medications and infusion therapies, as qualified
• Performing wound care, catheter care, and ostomy care
• Administering medications and providing medication education
• Educating patients and caregivers on treatment plans
• Providing post-hospitalization and post-surgical care
• Supporting clients with chronic conditions, including diabetes, COPD, CHF, and hypertension
• Providing other skilled nursing services based on client needs and qualifications
• Coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Documenting care using our mobile electronic charting system
• Reporting changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Supervising CNA and caregiver staff when applicable

We are particularly interested in Registered Nurses (RNs) with strong IV insertion skills and experience administering infusion therapies.

Nurses comfortable working independently in patients' homes are encouraged to apply.

• Current, active RN license in good standing with the Iowa Board of Nursing
• At least one year of nursing experience
• Weekday availability to help cover client visits
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a home setting
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Current auto insurance
• BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Home health and electronic medical record (EMR) experience are preferred but not required.

This position may be a good fit for Registered Nurses (RNs) with experience in:

• Home health or private duty nursing
• Hospital med/surg, ICU, or step-down units
• Skilled nursing facilities or long-term care
• Infusion nursing
• Hospice or palliative care
• Outpatient or clinic nursing
