Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Ready for Something Different?

Are you an LPN looking for a change from traditional bedside nursing? Want a career where you can build relationships, use your nursing skills, and make a difference in the lives of young people?

At Four Oaks, nursing is about more than medications, appointments, and medical charts. It's about providing care, building trust, and being someone our youth can count on!

We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and help support youth in our residential programs.

If you're ready for a nursing career that offers purpose, variety, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact, we'd love to meet you!

What Makes Nursing at Four Oaks Different?

Imagine working somewhere you have the opportunity to really get to know the youth you're caring for.

You'll learn their personalities, recognize when something isn't quite right, celebrate their progress, and help them feel safe and supported.

Our youth need more than medical care. They need consistency, patience, understanding, and someone willing to advocate for them.

That's where you come in!

What You'll Do

As an LPN at Four Oaks, you'll help provide and coordinate healthcare services while working alongside a team dedicated to supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our youth.

Here's what your day-to-day could look like:

  • Make every interaction count! Build positive relationships with youth while supporting their medical and emotional needs.
  • Put your nursing skills to work! Assess health concerns, provide medical triage, and help determine when additional medical attention is needed.
  • Keep medications on track! Safely administer medications and oversee proper medication distribution, storage, and returns.
  • Help coordinate care! Assist with medical, psychiatric, and psychological appointments and follow-up services.
  • Stay organized! Maintain accurate medical records, physician orders, medication records, and healthcare documentation.
  • Support a healthy environment! Provide TB testing within established guidelines and promote safe health practices.
  • Share your knowledge! Educate youth and staff on health and wellness topics and assist with CPR, First Aid, and other health-related training.
  • Be a trusted resource! Help residential staff respond to medical questions and concerns.
  • Help us continue improving! Review medication errors and participate in quality improvement efforts.
  • Keep safety a priority! Recognize and report medical, safety, and public health concerns.
  • Support safe care! Provide nursing oversight related to established safety and behavioral protocols.
  • Work together! Collaborate with nursing staff, residential teams, and other professionals to support youth in our care.
  • Be there when needed! Participate in periodic daytime and overnight on-call responsibilities.
Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an LPN who brings compassion, confidence, and a passion for helping others.

Someone who:

  • Holds a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Enjoys working with youth and building meaningful relationships.
  • Has strong nursing assessment and communication skills.
  • Can remain calm and make sound decisions when situations change.
  • Is dependable, organized, and pays attention to details.
  • Enjoys being part of a team but can also work independently within their nursing scope.
  • Understands the importance of patience, consistency, and trust.
  • Wants to use their nursing experience in a setting outside of a traditional hospital or clinic.
