As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll be the trusted medical partner for pets and their people. You’ll:

• Provide high‑quality medical care through wellness visits, diagnostics, surgery, and dental procedures
• Educate pet owners on nutrition, exercise, and long‑term health
• Work with modern equipment and evolving treatment options
• See a varied and engaging caseload that keeps every day interesting

New grads: you’ll receive mentorship, support, and encouragement as you grow your skills and confidence.

• A DVM (or soon‑to‑be DVM!) with a passion for veterinary medicine
• A collaborative team player eager to learn and grow
• Strong communication skills and a client‑first mindset
• Availability for full‑time work in Waverly, IA (Monday‑Friday, 7:30 AM-5:30 PM; weekends closed)

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed
• Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care
• Maintain patients’ medical records
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution
• Appropriate state licensure
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
