Sr Supply Chain Quality Engineer - FAI (Onsite)

Join Collins Aerospace as a Senior Supplier Quality – FAI. This role is responsible for implementing quality objectives for the business unit in alignment with established quality policies, procedures, and contractual requirements. The position collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to achieve and enhance quality and delivery goals and serves as a key point of contact for supplier quality matters.

Responsibilities
  • Performs preliminary review and Material Review Board analysis of First Article Inspection Reports and disposition of nonconforming material.
  • Evaluates Collins Aerospace or supplier products and processes.
  • Analyzes root causes of deficiencies and ensures proper corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Provides support to manufacturing operations in the review of products and engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintains a working relationship with key customer procurement organizations.
  • Maintains quality data records, compiles information, and prepares reports for internal and external customers.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of program quality plans and procedures under moderate supervision.
  • Travel 10‑15% as required.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in a quality organization.
Preferences
  • Read and interpretation of engineering drawings (dimension, tolerance, and basic GD&T symbology).
  • Familiarity with industry specifications and standards interpretation.
  • Familiarity with inspection methods and techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with continuous improvement principles, Six Sigma, lean, 5S.
  • Knowledge of PDCA problem‑solving techniques.
  • Ability to make quick decisions based on facts and risk analysis, even under high‑pressure situations.
  • Familiar with AS9102 and First Article Inspection processes and requirements.
  • Experience in supplier quality or supplier management and development.

Other Information

Position may be eligible for relocation. Salary range: 82,000 USD – 164,000 USD. This U.S. based role requires U.S. citizenship.
