Position SummaryViking Maintenance is hiring for multiple roles, including Entry-Level Technician, Tech II, Top Hand, and Field Supervisor. Candidates should be self-motivated, adaptable, able to troubleshoot, and most importantly, take direction effectively. Success in this field requires a willingness to learn and adapt to the fast-evolving wireless industry.
ScheduleThey are looking for travel employees willing to work 11 days on and 4 days off or 4 weeks on and 9 days off. We are open to tower technicians that reside anywhere within the United States. A travel stipend is offered for those traveling into market.
Key Responsibilities- Perform tower construction tasks including erection, decommissioning, antenna & line installation, microwave work, and maintenance.
- Install mounting hardware and equipment at height.
- Read and follow blueprints, site drawings, and technical instructions.
- Use test equipment such as Anritsu, Kaelus, voltmeters, and fiber testers.
- Maintain high safety standards while climbing, rigging, and lifting at heights exceeding 100 feet.
- Travel frequently (up to 2-4 weeks at a time).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Pre‑employment drug screen required.
- Willingness to travel and work long days (10‑hour shifts typical).
- Competent Climber & Competent Rigging Certification
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Aerial Lift Certification
- CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens
- RF Awareness
- Lighting System Certifications (Flash, TWR, ITL, Dialight, etc.)
- Leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Effective verbal communication.
- Problem‑solving and critical thinking.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions independently and as part of a team.
- 95% of work is performed outdoors at elevated job sites (towers, rooftops, water tanks, etc.)
- Exposure to varied and extreme weather conditions.
- Emphasis on safety and situational awareness at all times.
- Competitive pay based on experience and performance
- $35/day per diem for travel days (plus 100% travel pay)
