Scaffold Insulation Technician Mid Skilled - Location:
Cedar Rapids, IA - Salary:
Up to $20.00 per hour (based upon experience) - Hours:
Monday‑Thursday 6am‑4:30pm

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:
- Must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
- Installation, Maintenance, and Repair to be performed in conformance with established quality standards.
- Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
- Must have working knowledge of all hand/power tools to perform metal layouts of all types, use math facts and charts, and be able to apply knowledge to perform all insulation functions.
- Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
- Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job. Must maintain a consistent and good attendance record in accordance with Company policy.
- Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
- Compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
- Communicates with all team members to assist the development of short‑and‑long‑range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives.
- Maintain personal tools required for your job. Meet physical requirements of the job.
- Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
- Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
- Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
- Experience:
2 years associated procedural experience. - Certifications:
OSHA approved Scaffold building certification. Preferred but not required.

- Control Precision — The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
- Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
- Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
- Communication/Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
