Shop Technician

Shop Technician | Heavy & Industrial Equipment

Our client is seeking a Shop Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of construction and industrial equipment. This is a hands‑on role in a safety‑focused, team‑oriented environment with strong training and career growth opportunities.

Equipment You’ll Work On:

• Aerial lifts
• Generators
• Pumps
• HVAC units
• Construction tools
• Specialty industrial equipment
• Diesel and heavy equipment systems

Responsibilities:

• Work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Provide and maintain your own basic mechanical tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Complete accurate service documentation, logs, and timesheets.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks to minimize equipment downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals.

Qualifications/Must Haves:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must supply basic mechanical tools.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks (bending, squatting, reaching)
• 1–3 years of experience as a technician (diesel, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or similar)
• ASE or IFPS certifications.
• Trade school or technical training.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or other)
• Military mechanic/technician background.
• Welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience with aerial lifts, generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil/gas equipment.
