Role
Summary:
Software Engineer supporting ongoing GNSS location projects. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive software development, validate hardware features, and support field testing.
Daily onsite presence in Cedar Rapids, Iowa office, aligned with our flexible work policy.
What You’ll Do- Write and maintain hardware driver firmware for GNSS RF, PLL, and embedded SOC components.
- Verify and validate hardware features to ensure correct functionality and performance.
- Lead and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive project development.
- Monitor software baseline health via integration testing.
- Design and implement automated test integration for location products.
- Support field testing and resolve technical issues.
- Travel 25 % of the time.
- 10+ years Bachelor’s experience, 8+ years Master’s, or 5+ years PhD (equivalent).
- Proficiency in Python and strong embedded C skills.
- Self‑driven with strong task execution and communication skills.
- Experience with hardware SOC design life cycle, embedded programming, native Android OS, and RF/analog or HW design.
- Familiarity with software development tools, issue tracking, CI/CD, and Git.
- Understanding of GNSS principles, ability to write unit tests for embedded HW, and experience in embedded systems.
- Ability to work in a global team and adapt communication style to diverse cultures.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
