Our Autonomy Visualization and Mission Planning team is looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our team. This is an onsite position located at one of the three facilities listed above. At Collins Aerospace, you will work on cutting edge technology and contribute to programs that save lives and enable the freedoms we enjoy.

• Driving technology advancement in a Java/Angular based visualization framework
• Building reusable and custom user interfaces that provide an intuitive and modern experience with intentional design for adaptability and reuse
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for the visualization technology stack
• Design and implement methods of composable and adaptable product lines and product builds
• Maintain a backlog of work items in coordination with team/program leads
• Collaborate with customer and user community to incorporate user feedback.
• Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, flight test, and field support.
• Present to customers or stakeholders on software development progress and capabilities.
• Work on site as required for lab integration and team collaboration.
• Travel occasionally to support system integration and test, customer events, and related external activities.

• Experience with designing and implementing a large scale modularized, reusable product base that supports multiple products.
• Fluent in Angular, Java, OSGI; and able to perform and lead a technical team with minimal onboarding.
• Experience with normalizing data from multiple sources for user display.
• Experience spanning software design, implementation, testing, and system integration of large systems.
• Experience working in or leading a software team, Scrum Master or similar.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

• Experience with Eclipse, Git, Visual Studio Code, Rational Team Concert, JIRA, Docker, Java, Angular.
• Experience with data adaptation and multiple system integration.
• Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  Mission Planning, Electronic Warfare, Sensors.
• Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or related field.
