The Platform Software Department within Mission Systems’ Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) portfolio is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about serving and developing people, solving hard technical problems, and building high‑performing teams. This is not a role where leadership happens from the sidelines. • Develop trusted relationships across RCP Engineering, Value Stream Leadership, program teams, and government customers while maintaining transparency around priorities, progress, risks, and opportunities.
• Champion engineering excellence.
• Ensure the team meets Collins Aerospace development processes and standard work expectations while challenging existing approaches when there is an opportunity to make them better.

• Ability to obtain an active US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
• Cost account management (EVMS) and schedule management.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in software development/integration/test.
• Working knowledge of embedded software development and the use of the Rust and Python programming language (or other memory safe languages).
