Delivery Courier (Driver)
Part‑time, hourly position rate: $16.00 per hour. Reports to Pharmacy Manager. FLSA status:
Non‑exempt.
The Driver delivers nuclear pharmacy products and services to hospitals, physician offices, community medical centers and other medical facilities.
Job Responsibilities and Duties- Ensure timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products on scheduled routes, following maps and directions.
- Unload products per client specifications while providing excellent customer service.
- Act as a customer‑service liaison, listening to and resolving complaints, and informing management promptly.
- Accept returns where applicable; break down delivery cases, dispose of radioactive materials, and sanitize lead pigs.
- Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries and returns.
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles and facilities; assist with stocking products and supplies, and notify Pharmacy Manager of low inventory.
- Perform routine vehicle safety checks and pre‑trip inspections, reporting issues immediately.
- Follow standard operating procedures, all safety standards, and federal, state and local laws.
- Obtain required DOT training and certification.
- Work various shifts as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent and a valid state driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to plan routes efficiently and adhere to proper driving etiquette.
- Capability to drive safely in all weather and road conditions.
- Willingness to work a variety of schedules: early mornings, days, nights, holidays, weekends, overtime, on‑call.
- Excellent critical‑thinking, interpersonal communication and customer‑service skills; good judgement, self‑discipline.
- Prior driving, delivery and/or customer‑service experience preferred.
- May be required to pass a physical fitness assessment to evaluate strength, endurance, and stamina.
- Manipulate small items; lift at least 50 lbs routinely, 75 lbs occasionally.
- Stand, walk and sit for 4+ hours with limited rest.
- Good eye‑hand coordination; fair eyesight.
- Normal hearing in at least one ear.
- Analyze situations, set priorities, meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

- Work independently and as part of a team.
