The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join our team in the Program Office in Celebration, FL. This position leads the development of cost estimates for large-scale, complex construction works, often part of major multi-year programs. The role involves coordinating with diverse technical design teams and independent cost estimating teams to assess and validate costs and risks. The Senior Cost Estimator prepares and validates cost and change management reports and produces regular budget/cost reports.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Must

• Lead the development of comprehensive cost estimates based on total costs of materials, equipment, utilities, labor, risk, and general conditions for large, complex construction projects.
• Oversee and prepare conceptual estimates, change order estimates, and other estimates for large projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and assessing risks.
• Develop and standardize cost report templates, issuing budget/cost and change management reports to ensure consistency and strategic insight.
• Produce regular budget/cost reports, including status, forecast at completion, and variance analysis, providing recommendations to senior leadership as needed.
• Identify project constraints or upgrade needs and communicate them to the Project Manager, collaborating on solutions and impacts.
• Contribute to project planning, integrating cost considerations into overall project goals with key stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior staff, ensuring quality throughout the estimation process.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Cost Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction estimation or similar.
