Our 40-bed Neuro PCU specializes in the care of stroke patients, including those undergoing stroke evaluations and workups. We also provide comprehensive care for post-neurosurgical patients, individuals requiring continuous EEG monitoring, and patients with seizure disorders. Additionally, we accommodate other progressive care‑level patients admitted through the Emergency Department as capacity allows.

The unit maintains a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, supported by a collaborative team that includes Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Charge nurses without patient assignments, and a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) available 24/7. Together, we ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a specialized neuro‑focused environment.

Full‑Time Nights, 3/12s - 7p-7a, w/rotation of weekend and holidays

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.

Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.

Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
