Job Description
A Server is responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to provide an excellent guest experience. The position requires extensive knowledge of menu offerings and the ability to support team members as needed. The Server will also align with the company’s “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Complete all required brand‑specific training, Vision University training, and health and safety training.
- Adhere to Vision Hospitality Group and property‑specific brand standards.
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest.
- Serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages in accordance with local licensing regulations.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of menu items, specials, and all products.
- Ensure Food & Beverage orders are delivered at a consistently good standard and in a timely manner.
- Return to each table periodically to ascertain whether additional items are desired.
- Receive payment from guests and follow established accounting procedures.
- Perform any other duties requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to guests.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications
- Maintain confidentiality of business functions, financial status, and customer/guest information.
- Be responsible for the safety and security of guests, associates, and hotel assets.
- Know fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.
- Have dependable transportation.
- Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person.
- Work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
- Be organized, honest, well‑adapted to teamwork, and exhibit an outgoing personality.
- Maintain a clean, attractive work area and uniform.
- Show integrity, humility, and a commitment to the Golden Rule.
- Work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Be dedicated, innovative, respectful, community‑focused, and service‑oriented.
- Be physically able to bend, reach, kneel, push, lift up to 30 pounds, stand/walk for 8+ hours, and handle heat and stress.
- Have good vision (near and far) and be comfortable with a step stool or ladder.
- Be able to write and speak clearly in English.
