Position: High Output Operator- Days

High Output Operator - Days, Versa Pak

Base Pay Range

$19.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Shift Information

Day shift (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.), 12‑hour shifts, 15 days per month on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.

General Purpose

The high output operator produces a higher volume of product in an hour compared to other lines and is responsible for the manufacturing, processing and packaging of all products at a very high pace. The operator must embody the company’s core values of ethics and dependability, work effectively in a team environment, and strive for personal improvement while adapting quickly to new challenges.

General

Responsibilities
  • Operate extrusion line(s) properly and appropriately.
  • Assure the film being produced meets company standards and/or customer specifications.
  • Maintain line presence at all times to monitor proper film production.
  • Maintain a clean working environment throughout the day.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately when there is a nonconformance with the product or when the line is down.
  • Adhere to the company’s food safety policies and procedures.
Job Tasks
  • Perform physical testing of film properties to ensure they meet Versa Pak’s standards and/or customer specifications.
  • Ensure all packaging and skid sheets meet Versa Pak’s standards and/or customer specifications.
  • Verify that the final product is clean and free of debris before packaging and that it is placed neatly and securely onto the skid for shipment.
  • Complete all paperwork, logs, and data entry properly, timely and orderly.
  • Maintain a clean working area before, during and after each shift.
  • Follow all policies, procedures and directives consistently.
  • Complete the Line Operators Daily Task List as assigned by the shift supervisor.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Trainable and willing to learn.
  • Motivated, detail‑focused with good organizational and cleaning skills.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
Additional Information

In the event that a line operator is not present, another qualified personnel will take his or her place.
