The OpportunityThis is not a typical event organizer role, we manage powerful communities in the IT/Cloud/Telecom industries. So we need a person who is a people person capable of engaging effectively with very senior executives in the largest companies in these industries. They should be a dynamic, highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, people-focused Events Organizer who is persistent, coachable and thrives in a fast-paced environment able to join a team planning, coordinating, and executing both in-person and virtual events.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, able to multitask effectively, passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences.
This role will work directly with the CEO
, Chief of Staff
, and Community Sales & Marketing Director
, and will involve occasional travel within the U.S. and potentially Europe.
Will initially report directly to the Chief of Staff.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and execute events.
- Manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful execution of all events.
- Handle event logistics including venue selection, rooming lists, transportation, and catering.
- Partner with the Marketing Director to support event promotion and attendee engagement.
- Oversee event-day operations to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage speakers logistics, including:
- Collecting bios, photos, and presentation details.
- Scheduling speaker prep calls with the CEO.
- Develop pre-event content.
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Highly motivated at meeting timeline expectations.
- Oversee promotional materials and ensure website updates are accurate.
- Manage delegate communications and provide exceptional customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an event manager, planner, or coordinator.
- Proven track record of planning and executing successful events.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience interacting with C-suite executives.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Persistent and resourceful — able to overcome challenges and drive projects forward.
- Coachable, open to feedback, and eager to learn and grow within the role.
- Confident, outgoing, and personable with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive under pressure.
- Comfortable use of technology; experience with Cvent and/or the IT industry is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases.
