Junior Technical Designer

Emslie Technical Solutions LLC is a small technical design and drafting company serving the entertainment and experiential markets. Our diverse projects include Television, Film, Commercial, and experiential projects with clients nationwide.

This role is for a Junior Technical Designer
. Your responsibilities will include taking 3D technical design models from Technical Design leads and creating sheet sets and CNC deliverables from these models. Most of the work will be completed with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD. I would need some familiarity with these software packages. However, training on this software and our processes will be provided. This role reports to the Technical Design Lead on a project-to-project basis.

• Finalize naming conventions for units and sort units into digestible assemblies.
• Create Build and Install Sheet Sets in Autodesk Inventor and ensure that all relevant project information is included and accurate.
• Ensure that all sheet sets follow our internal style guide, are comprehensive, and follow a clear narrative.
• Prepare and inspect initial CNC vector files and ensure all geometry is clearly and accurately portrayed.
• Assist Technical Design Leads in modeling when requested in accordance with technical design lead instruction.

• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in various fields preferred.
• Ideal Candidate possesses 1-3 years of experience drafting with AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Ideal Candidate possesses knowledge and a working understanding of carpentry, metalwork, paint, and laminate finishes and is familiar with general electrics and LED systems.
• Familiarity with set fabrication techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with Sketchup, Revit, Rhino, and Vector Works is appreciated, as many client files are in these formats.
• Experience in Millwork, Custom Fabrication.
• Self‑motivation and clear communication are a must.
• Must solve problems and communicate project needs and complications.

Travel for training and networking purposes may be necessary intermittently.

Pay Range $24-26 per hour with PTO and other part‑time benefits.

This posting is for an in‑person role at our office in Centennial, CO.

Initially, this role is for 20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours after training and onboarding.
