BIM​/VDC Coordinator-Electrical

Responsibilities

• Provide BIM modeling, Design support, Coordination, and Field Team support during the planning, design, and construction phases for all project types.
• Perform BIM modeling of electrical systems from construction documents, for the purpose of space management and coordination with other MEP trades and Design Team.
• Prepare and revise Electrical installation models in Revit with minimal supervision and ensure all drawings adhere to department standards and procedures.
• Prepare electrical model content following electrical code and department standards.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines through BIM coordination meeting attendance.
• Develop 2D Shop Drawings from Revit models for Field Team installation.

• Have 3+ years of industry experience in modeling AEC building systems.
• Have 3+ years of experience with MEP Coordination using Revit.
• Preferably, have 1-3 years of electrical BIM experience.
• Bring knowledge of Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Point Layout, BIM 360, AutoCAD).
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED, and preferably an associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology or related field.
• Have BIM / VDC experience coordinating with MEP Contractors.
• Demonstrate superior communication skills.
• Work well in a project team environment, as well as have the capacity to conduct work with minimal supervision or oversight.
