Perform animal control and both enforcement and non‑enforcement type services for the public while assisting the police department’s patrol division. This is a non‑sworn, nonunion, uniform position with flexible hours and includes evenings, weekends and holidays. C.S.O.’s are considered part‑time, limited term, para‑professionals responsible for performing limited law enforcement and animal control functions. All provisions of the Department Policy Manual shall apply.
This is a developmental program designed to give students in criminal justice and/or law enforcement educational programs working exposure in a police department environment.
