The Surgical RN supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora by optimizing the quality of life for all patients. The role includes overseeing and directing care for surgical patients across all surgical specialties, leading collaborative multidisciplinary teams, and managing assistive personnel. The RN maintains final accountability for the care given to assigned patients and may perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in Colorado or an active multistate RN license; BLS certification.
- Education: RN graduate; BSN preferred.
- Experience: One year of acute‑care experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Strong critical‑thinking skills and ability to lead and work within a team to ensure quality patient care.
