Job DescriptionReady to be the superhero of our nursing unit? As our Registered Nurse II Neighborhood/Unit Manager, you'll lead our care crew, orchestrate nursing care, manage scheduling and personnel, ensure PPS and MDS compliance, coordinate resident care, and mentor staff. You'll coach, cheerlead, and champion quality care.
Your Mission- Monitor residents’ needs, intervene timely, and communicate with your team.
- Conduct pre-admission assessments with diligence and thoroughness.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance care.
- Serve as the go-to resource during clinical emergencies and status changes.
- Perform compliance audits and checks.
- Orchestrate care plans and patient care conferences with a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain MDS compliance.
- Ensure admission documents are complete and accurate.
- Recognize signs and symptoms, make decisions, and choose optimal treatments or procedures.
- Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, pharmacists, residents, and families.
- Be on call when needed.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to interview, develop, and guide frontline staff.
- Flexibility for other duties as assigned.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of practice (BSN preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Community.
- 1–2 years of supervising and managing direct reports.
- Knowledge of Health Department regulations, PPS, MDS, OBRA, and federal/state surveys.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows, and relevant software.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Lift 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
- Perform sit‑stand‑bend movements without difficulty.
- Maintain focus amid interruptions.
- Engage social skills with stakeholders and residents.
