Ready to be the superhero of our nursing team? As Director of Nursing (DON), you will lead nursing services, translate regulations into clear policies, ensure quality of care, manage staffing, budgeting, safety, and resident assessment.

• Become a walking encyclopedia of federal and state laws and regulations; translate complex legalese into nursing policies.
• Keep the nursing team up-to-date with best-practice senior care services.
• Represent the organization at committee and community meetings; chair committees as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff on clinical and administrative matters.
• Recruit, interview, and develop a high-performing nursing team.
• Maintain safety standards; investigate incidents and coordinate follow‑up.
• Assist in creating the annual nursing budget and monitor expenses.
• Assure new residents and in‑house transfers receive thorough assessment and compassionate care.
• Guarantee adequate supplies and equipment; manage inventory needs.
• Adapt to unforeseen duties and challenges with a proactive mindset.

• Registered Nurse License in good standing in Colorado.
• Advanced education and/or training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a Long Term Care Community.
• Minimum 3 years in Long Term Care Nursing management;
  Director of Nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws governing skilled nursing communities preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing and database systems.
• Strong communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Excellent customer service orientation.

• Light physical effort handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
• Potential exposure to chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and communicable diseases.
• Regular sitting, standing, bending, and intermittent movement.
• Frequent interruptions and interaction with residents, families, and visitors.
