The Host/Hostess at View House Centennial is the first and last point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming, upbeat, and organized experience. This role focuses on greeting guests, managing restaurant flow, seating guests according to server rotations, and providing exceptional hospitality in a high‑energy environment.

• Warmly greet and engage guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage waitlists and reservations using the restaurant’s seating software.
• Efficiently coordinate seating to balance guest satisfaction and server sections.
• Answer phone calls regarding reservations, hours, events, and general inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entry area, and menus.
• Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and support staff to ensure smooth flow.
• Provide accurate wait‑time estimates and keep guests updated during peak hours.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Uphold View House hospitality standards and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

• Prior hosting or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to remain calm and friendly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable working on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to multitask, manage crowds, and maintain professionalism.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Light lifting (up to ~25 lbs) as needed for menus, stanchions, etc.
