Inside Sales Engineer (Centennial, CO)
Pay range: $30-$40 DOE.
Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr.
Position Summary: The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for selling or introducing company products or services to established clients. They field customer calls and questions regarding product specifications, availability, and pricing, and provide support to Outside Sales representatives by creating quotations, coordinating product delivery, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Job Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
- 1-3 years prior sales experience or relevant training in Inside Sales.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
- Demonstrates problem‑solving skills, highly organized, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valid driver’s license with good MVR; able to travel occasionally within the region.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Work closely with Sales and Purchasing departments and personnel.
- Maintain knowledge of company products and recommend sizing.
- Display a flexible attitude that fosters teamwork.
- Provide timely service in order processing, quotations, and customer response.
- Answer all calls in a timely manner.
- Maintain a database of current clients and communicate personnel changes with sales reps and managers.
- Process cancellations or changes in sales orders and communicate with related departments.
- Emphasize service benefits of the company, discuss credit terms and price quotes, and prepare sales order reports or forms as needed.
- Provide feedback and information to department manager regarding order and customer problems.
- Participate in training sessions, meetings, skill building, and professional development.
- Process and enter agent orders/invoices for outside sales personnel.
- Enter purchase orders for select assigned product lines as needed.
- Purchase non-stock items to fulfill customer orders.
- Manage direct-facing customers at the will‑call counter: fill orders, process payments, obtain signatures for NET 30 orders, and process them daily through accounting.
- Check and respond to all company communications on scheduled workdays, ensuring voicemail is cleared regularly.
- Comply with all applicable Company safety requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for an extended period.
- Perform general office administrative activities of copying, filing, faxing, and using the telephone.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Travel occasionally by conventional means to branch offices and locations within the region.
- Maintain regular and on-time attendance; hours may exceed 40 per week.
