Field Service Engineer - Medium Voltage (Centennial, CO)

Pay: $80k-$105k salaried DOE

Position Summary

The Field Service Engineer is expected to inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, repair and maintain various types of power distribution system equipment including Variable Frequency Drives. Provide industry‑best customer service—always exceed the customer’s expectations. Assume emergency on‑call duties and if required, respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner. Contribute to a safe work environment; adhere to all safety policies both those outlined in the company safety manual as well as customer safety guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; two‑year vocational or post‑high school program in electrical trades or industrial electricity, or associate degree in technology from an accredited 2‑year technical college or similar military experience.
  • NETA certification preferred.
  • 5 years of experience working on commercial and industrial electrical projects.
  • 5 years of hands‑on experience utilizing industrial electrical test equipment.
  • Experience performing medium voltage splicing and terminations.
  • Experience with installation of switch gear and transformers.
  • Ability to read one‑line and control diagrams.
  • Computer skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Office products.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70‑E training.
  • Maintain a current valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without need for employer sponsored VISA (work permit).
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, repair and maintain low, medium, high voltage electrical system equipment.
  • Setup and perform electrical tests on the equipment.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, repair and maintain various types of power distribution system equipment including Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Provide industry‑best customer service—always exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Assume emergency on‑call duties and, if required, respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment; adhere to all safety policies both those outlined in the company safety manual as well as customer safety guidelines.
  • Exhibit a positive collaborative attitude.

  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Attends required safety training classes and maintains necessary certifications.

    Complies with all company and customer safety requirements.
  • Completes product line training.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with Winn-Marion policies.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates high degree of interpersonal skills to interface with customers and team employees.
  • Checks and responds to all company communications on all scheduled workdays, including voice mail, emails, and text messages. Makes sure that old voice mails are cleared regularly so that the mailbox does not get full.
  • Complies with all applicable company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions
  • Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Requires extensive travel by automobile within territory or to branch offices. May require occasional travel by air.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.
  • Maintain regular and on‑time attendance. Hours may exceed 40 hours per week. Able to work weekends, holidays, and respond to calls as needed to fulfill business objectives.
  • The employee may be required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch, and work in close quarters.
  • Employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, warehouse environments, or production/manufacturing locations.
