Job Role of the Technical Sales Manager An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join a specialist manufacturer supplying technical products into transport, local authority and construction-related sectors. The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing incoming sales enquiries, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, producing estimates, cost build-ups and quotations, and following up with customers.

You will liaise with clients to understand project requirements, respond to technical queries and work closely with internal teams to support technical, project-led sales opportunities. This role is predominantly focused on incoming enquiries rather than cold business development, but will require strong commercial awareness, technical understanding and the ability to manage customer relationships professionally. Sector - Technical Sales, Estimating and Construction Products Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Technical Sales Manager Sales and estimating experience Technical, manufacturing, construction or engineering background Experience producing estimates, cost build-ups and quotations from technical drawings/specifications Requirements of the Technical Sales Manager Technical sales experience Sales estimating or technical estimating experience Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications Producing estimates, cost build-ups and customer quotations Quotation follow-up and customer relationship management

Experience with technical, manufactured, engineered or construction-related products Customer-facing communication and technical query handling Commercial awareness and attention to detail Ability to work independently and take ownership of enquiries
