Position Overview

Progreso Latino is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our Immigration Services Department as an Immigration Office Aide. In this role, you will provide direct support to immigrant communities by assisting with case preparation, documentation, and other essential tasks related to immigration services. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in the field of immigration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support:
    Assist the immigration services team in providing requirements to individuals seeking support with immigration-related matters, scheduling appointments and preparing files under the supervision of experienced staff.
  • Document Management:
    Help organize, file, and maintain immigration-related documentation, including applications, forms, and client records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Translation and Interpretation:
    Provide translation and interpretation assistance for clients who speak Spanish or other languages as needed (if applicable).
  • Data Entry & Reporting:
    Help maintain accurate records and input data into the department's systems, generating reports as required.
  • Other Administrative Tasks:
    Support the immigration department with general administrative duties, such as answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, making copies, and assisting with all the filing.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, responsible, and eager to learn.
