What you'll do:

As a Senior Accounting Associate, you will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality outsourced accounting solutions tailored to meet the needs of both corporate entities and charitable organisations. Y

  • Assist managers in overseeing a growing portfolio of clients by carrying out comprehensive accounting work for a wide variety of profit‑making organisations and charities, always adhering to statutory procedures.
  • Independently plan, execute, complete, and produce client‑ready deliverables with minimal supervision, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance throughout each assignment.
  • Review management accounts, statutory accounts, and VAT returns for numerous organisations, maintaining strict adherence to internal policies as well as external regulations.
  • Take responsibility for implementing accounting software such as Quick Books or Xero for clients, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal use of technology within their operations.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to trainees within the team, nurturing their development through constructive feedback and hands‑on guidance.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while supervising junior team members’ work; review outputs thoroughly and offer support as needed to foster their professional growth.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions for junior colleagues throughout the year, contributing innovative ideas to improve accounting methodologies and drive greater efficiency within the team.
  • Offer general accounting services to clients including assistance with preparing working papers for management or statutory accounts as well as VAT returns.
  • Recommend practical improvements to clients’ accounting systems and controls, providing valuable advice whenever required to enhance their financial processes.
  • Understand the specific requirements of each assignment agreed with clients; communicate promptly with managers or partners if specifications change or if time/budget constraints arise.
What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accounting Associate position brings a wealth of practical experience gained from several years within an accountancy practice setting.

  • Hold an ACCA qualification (or equivalent), demonstrating a strong foundation in accountancy principles relevant to UK practice.
  • Achieved 120 UCAS points from three A‑Levels along with at least Level 6 (B) in GCSE Maths and English Language, reflecting solid academic credentials.
