Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
Part-time permanent role (14 hrs per week) at the heart of LAH’s operations. As Bookkeeper, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records, meet compliance obligations, and provide the senior team with the reliable information needed to make decisions.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, reconciling bank accounts, preparing records for the annual audit, managing income tracking across all programmes, and supporting payroll administration – all using Xero. You will report directly to the Director and work closely with the wider team.
Required experience:
at least two years in bookkeeping, preferably in the voluntary sector, and a relevant accounting qualification (IAB, AAT or equivalent). You must be proficient in Xero, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to work independently while being a genuine team player.
We also require a clear understanding of and commitment to the communities we serve, and the ability to bring that commitment to all aspects of your work.
We welcome applications from people with lived experience of migration, and actively encourage applicants from racialised, disabled, working‑class, and LGBTQ+ backgrounds. LAH is a community‑led charity operating across London, with its headquarters in Kilburn, North West London.
