About the Role

Knight Frank is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join their Head Office at 55 Baker Street. The role supports the financial reporting manager in maintaining the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting within a complex commercial real‑estate environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Close
    • Support production of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for the UK Board.
    • Prepare monthly close processes.
    • Report on key balance‑sheet highlights for decision support.
    • Review key estimates and accounting judgements (e.g. prepaids, accruals, impairments).
    • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial reporting across entities.
  • Inter‑Company Accounting
    • Manage inter‑company accounting processes across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
    • Reconcile, settle, and eliminate inter‑company balances.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
    • Maintain robust documentation and controls.
  • Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting
    • Maintain the fixed asset register and control capitalization, depreciation and disposals.
    • Oversee accounting for capital expenditure projects.
    • Classify appropriately between capital and revenue expenditure.
  • Account Reconciliations
    • Perform and review balance‑sheet reconciliations on high‑risk or material accounts.
    • Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.

      Drive continuous improvement of reconciliation processes and controls.
  • Statutory Accounts & External Reporting
    • Prepare statutory financial statements for multiple UK entities.
    • Prepare and coordinate year‑end audit disclosures and audit schedules.
    • Support external audit processes and respond to auditor queries.
    • Prepare and reconcile UK LLP group VAT returns.
  • Process Improvement & Controls
    • Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes, systems and controls.
    • Support automation, standardisation initiatives and internal control compliance.
Skills & Experience
  • Solid experience in financial accounting and control within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience in an LLP environment highly desirable.
  • Managing large data sets, multiple entities and complex structures.
  • Multi‑entity, multi‑currency working experience.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Systems‑savvy with hands‑on experience using SAP (GL, FICO); BPC reporting tool advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills for handling large data sets.
Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years post‑qualified experience within a large, complex matrix organisation.
  • Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA preferred).
