An established and growing private business is seeking an experienced Financial Accounts Manager to join the team on an initial temporary basis, with the strong intention of offering a permanent position following a successful period
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded accounts professional who enjoys a varied role encompassing bookkeeping, cash flow management, forecasting and financial reporting within a fast-paced business
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day accounts function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Process invoices, payments, receipts and supplier accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and perform account reconciliations.
- Manage the accounts inbox and respond promptly to financial queries.
- Process employee expenses and maintain supporting documentation.
- Liaise with the company's external accountants and assist with year-end accounts.
- Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and monitor business liquidity.
- Produce budgets, financial forecasts and management reports.
- Support senior management with financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist with wider financial planning and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within an accounts or finance role.
- Strong bookkeeping and accounts management experience.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
- Experience preparing cash flow forecasts and financial reports.
- Proficient with accounting software (Xero experience advantageous).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
- Experience with in a construction or project-based business would be advantageous but is not essential.
You will be a detail-oriented, commercially aware Accounts Manager who enjoys taking ownership of the finance function and supporting a growing business. You will be comfortable joining initially on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a long-term permanent position
