DTZ Investors is a specialist real estate investment management business and part of the Cushman & Wakefield group, a NYSE-listed global real estate services organisation. DTZ Investors manages funds and mandates on behalf of institutional investors, and is entering into a period of active growth, including the development of new investment products and structures.

The Fund Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the client reporting and financial governance of a diverse portfolio of UK and European real estate funds, while building strong relationships with clients, fund managers, asset managers, and external service providers. The role combines technical accounting with commercial exposure, stakeholder management, and process improvement, offering excellent opportunities to develop within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting Oversight
    :
    Review monthly and quarterly financial reporting for a portfolio of UK and European real estate funds, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery. Present financial reporting to clients, responding to queries and building trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Statutory Reporting
    :
    Review financial statements and challenge accounting treatments to ensure compliance with IFRS and fund reporting requirements.
  • Financial Control Oversight
    :
    Review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and ensure robust financial controls are maintained.
  • Tax Reporting & Administration Oversight
    :
    Oversee VAT and CIS reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and filing requirements.
  • Team & Client Collaboration
    :
    Act as a key finance contact for fund teams, asset managers, operations teams and clients, providing technical accounting and financial support. Share financial knowledge with non-finance stakeholders and contribute to cross-functional collaboration across the business.
  • External Advisor / Service Provider Oversight
    :
    Manage relationships with third-party administrators, auditors, tax advisers, and other external service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Audit Co-ordination
    :
    Coordinate and manage year-end audit processes, resolving technical queries and implementing recommendations arising from external reviews.
  • Financial & Cash Flow Management
    :
    Support the financial management of funds through cash flow monitoring, governance, and operational oversight.
  • Business Development & New Client Onboarding
    :
    Lead the financial onboarding of new clients and mandates, establishing robust reporting processes, controls, and stakeholder relationships. Support tender processes and the appointment of new service providers where required.
  • Process & Tools Efficiency
    :
    Identify and implement improvements to reporting, systems and finance processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Required competencies:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Experience of working within an international / global organisation
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience reviewing financial reporting under IFRS.
  • Experience working within real estate, investment management, funds, or professional services is desirable.
  • Ability to absorb new concepts and complexity quickly and implement appropriate work methods.
  • Strong articulation & summarization skills – written & verbal
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused, with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
