Our client, a reputable accountancy firm located in the heart of London, is seeking a talented and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to enhance their dynamic team. Position OverviewAs an Audit & Accounts Senior, the successful candidate will engage in a variety of responsibilities, with a focus split of 80% audit and 20% accounts. This role not only allows for significant interaction with clients and partners but also provides a platform for professional growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities Audit (80%)- Lead and manage audits from planning through to completion, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and design tailored audit strategies.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, discussing key findings with clients and partners.
- Maintain and nurture strong client relationships while providing proactive business advice.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Review financial statements, working papers, and disclosures for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist clients with general accounting queries and offer expert technical advice.
- Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for each client.
- ACA/ACCA qualified, with completion of the Advanced Auditing exam with the relevant professional body.
- Robust audit experience within an accountancy practise.
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements, with a solid understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Experience in working with property clients is desirable but not essential.
- Outstanding communication and client management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CCH software, Caseware, Myworkpaper (audit software), and Mercia is advantageous.
This is a fully office-based role, requiring attendance 5 days a week at the central London office.
SalaryThe position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000, commensurate with experience.
