Location: City of Westminster

CMC Markets is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to support the accurate and timely delivery of UK payroll, benefits and employee share scheme administration. Working closely with HR, Finance, employees and third-party providers, you will help ensure payroll is processed accurately, reconciliations are completed within agreed deadlines, and employees receive a high-quality, responsive service.

Payroll:
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and support payroll submissions for the UK.
  • Complete payroll input, output and variance reconciliations, investigating discrepancies where required.
  • Prepare payroll journals and supporting documentation for review and approval.
  • Respond promptly to payroll queries from employees, HR, Finance and external providers.
  • Prepare reports, reconciliations and documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant controls, policies and procedures.
Benefits and share schemes:
  • Support the administration of the Flexible Benefits programme, including new-joiner enrolments and monthly processing.
  • Reconcile pension contributions against provider invoices and direct debits.
  • Prepare management information for benefit providers within agreed deadlines.
  • Support the processing and reconciliation of benefit provider invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records for Season Ticket Loans and other employee loans.
  • Support the administration of employee share schemes and ensure payroll reporting requirements are accurately communicated and processed.
Essential:
  • Previous experience in payroll administration, ideally UK payroll.
  • Experience working with a third-party payroll provider.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis and reconciliation techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organisation, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to handle confidential payroll, benefits and employee information with discretion.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems, multi-country payroll, payroll and HR management information, employee benefits or pension schemes would be desirable.
