We are working with a leading banking organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Vice President
- Accounting to join their finance function in London.

This is a senior leadership position, ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background within banking
, excellent knowledge of IFRS
, and proven experience managing and developing a team.

As Vice President
- Accounting, you will take responsibility for leading a team within the bank's accounting function, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance with relevant IFRS accounting standards
.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business, providing accounting expertise and supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.

• Lead, manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee financial accounting and reporting activities within the bank.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting requirements.
• Review and challenge accounting treatments and financial reporting.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury and the wider business.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and business activities.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, complete and delivered within agreed deadlines.
• Drive improvements across accounting processes, controls and reporting.
• Act as a senior point of contact for accounting matters across the business.
• Present financial and accounting information to senior management and key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong accounting experience within a bank or financial services organisation.
• Proven experience managing and developing a team

• Strong knowledge and practical application of IFRS
  .
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.
• Excellent financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to lead, influence and make decisions at a senior level.
• Fluent Mandarin and English
  , both written and spoken.
• Ideally, a recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  .

£120,000 base salary + benefits
