Senior Internal Auditor Salary £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience 12 month FTC Hybrid / Home and Folkestone This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join Saga at a pivotal point in our growth as a Senior Internal Auditor within our Group Professional Services team on a 12 month FTC. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting Saga to understand and manage risk, strengthen our internal controls and continue to grow with confidence.

You'll have the opportunity to work across different areas of the business, providing valuable assurance and insight that helps shape positive change. You'll manage and deliver individual audit assignments from end-to-end, working with a high degree of autonomy. This will involve getting to know the areas you're reviewing, understanding the key risks and controls, designing and delivering robust testing and using your knowledge and judgement to identify and communicate the issues that matter most.

It's a varied role where you'll work closely with colleagues and senior stakeholders across Saga. You'll build strong relationships, challenge constructively, agree pragmatic actions and help ensure that recommendations lead to meaningful improvements across the business. We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. In this team we work mainly from Folkestone and tend to have a pattern of Tuesdays & Wednesdays when we come together as a team in the office. Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering individual audit assignments from end-to-end, working with a high degree of autonomy.
• Developing a strong understanding of the business area under review, including its objectives, risks and controls.
• Applying Group strategy and priorities when assessing the area under review.
• Identifying key risks and controls and designing appropriate testing strategies.
• Executing robust testing to provide a sound opinion on the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Using data and technology to enhance audit testing and provide maximum insight.
• Identifying significant issues and ensuring these are reported with authority and credibility.
• Working with management to agree pragmatic and appropriate actions where issues are identified.
• Drafting audit issues, full audit reports and other supporting documentation to a high standard.
• Completing follow-up work to validate the effectiveness of actions taken by management to address audit issues.
