Accounts Assistant
Central London (Hybrid)
£135-£155 per day
6-Month Rolling Contract
Immediate Start Required
We are partnering with a fast-paced and growing retail business based in Central London to recruit an immediately available Accounts Assistant on an initial 6-month rolling contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team within a well-known retail environment, supporting day-to-day finance operations during a busy period of growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Bank reconciliations and cash allocation
- Assisting with sales ledger and credit control activities
- Supporting month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments
- Resolving supplier and internal finance queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties and reporting
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant position
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and bank reconciliations
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within retail, FMCG, or consumer-focused businesses
- Competent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal training
- Immediately available or available at very short notice
- £135-£155 per day, depending on experience
- Hybrid working arrangement
