  • Act as the primary relationship manager for external auditors, coordinating stakeholders across Group Finance, divisional teams, component auditors and advisers.
  • Drive audit planning, governance and execution, proactively managing risks, dependencies and the resolution of significant audit, accounting and reporting matters.
  • Strengthen audit readiness, reporting discipline and programme efficiency, while partnering with the Group Financial Controller and CFO on key judgements, governance and Audit Committee reporting.
Technical Accounting -
  • Act as a trusted technical accounting adviser to the Group Financial Controller, CFO and wider finance community, assessing complex, judgemental and non-routine accounting matters
  • Author and present clear technical accounting papers supporting key conclusions
  • Develop and maintain Group accounting policies, reporting guidance and financial control frameworks
  • Manage the Group's assessment and implementation of significant changes to UK GAAP, including the new revenue recognition and lease accounting requirements under FRS 102
  • Monitor emerging accounting developments and assess their implications for the Group
