Interim Reporting Accountant - Insurance

Financial Reporting Accountant London | Fixed-Term Contract (6 months) About the Role A exciting insurance/reinsurance organisation is seeking a technically strong Financial Reporting Accountant to provide temporary support during a critical year-end delivery period and concurrent finance transformation. This is a hands-on role supporting statutory reporting, external audit delivery, balance sheet controls and implementation of new financial systems. Key Responsibilities Support preparation and review of statutory financial statements; assist with year-end and periodic reporting across Group entities Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, support month-end and quarter-end close Support Group consolidation, IFRS 17 quarterly reporting and technical accounting matters (FRS 102 disclosures, tax, transfer pricing) Coordinate audit deliverables and responses; liaise with internal and external auditors to support timely audit completion Assist with accounting issues arising from finance transformation and Net Suite implementation;

support testing and validation Requirements Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience Essential:
Strong insurance or reinsurance experience - this is critical for the role Significant year-end and external audit experience; strong statutory and financial reporting knowledge Technical expertise: FRS 102 & IFRS, Group consolidation, balance sheet control and reconciliation Able to work independently, prioritise effectively, meet tight deadlines and manage stakeholder relationships Our client is committed to diversity in all of its forms and operates an inclusive recruitment process and has a hybrid office working environment.
