Job Title: Experienced Personal Assistant to the Headteacher (Temporary)
Location: Hackney, East London
Ofsted Rating: Good
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, 3 weeks initially (potential extension)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:00pm (flexibility required outside these hours as needed)

A well-established and highly regarded secondary school in Hackney, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking an experienced and highly professional Personal Assistant to the Headteacher for an immediate start. This is a full-time temporary position for an initial 3-week period, with the possibility of extension.

This is a pivotal role within the school, providing high-level administrative and organisational support to the Headteacher in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive PA support to the Headteacher

  • Manage complex diaries, appointments, and communications

  • Draft high-quality correspondence and reports on behalf of the Headteacher

  • Take accurate minutes for Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body meetings

  • Support with compliance documentation and reporting

  • Liaise confidently with governors, staff, parents, local authorities, and external agencies

  • Handle highly sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Proven experience as a PA or senior administrator (ideally within a school or education setting)

  • Advanced IT skills, particularly Google Suite and school management systems such as SIMS and Arbor

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in relation to compliance and formal documentation

  • A professional, discreet, and trustworthy approach

  • Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt quickly
