Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a FOI officer on a 3 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and triage FOI requests in the client’s FOI inbox.
- Log, track, and allocate requests to the relevant departments.
- Maintain responsibility for your own caseload, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Run regular reports and remind information owners of upcoming response deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support client’s compliance with FOI regulations.
Skills & Experience:
- Attention to Detail:
Ability to ensure accuracy and completeness in all FOI responses. - Analytical Thinking:
Capable of interpreting information and making informed decisions. - Deadline Management:
Proven experience managing a high volume of work under time constraints. - Autonomous Work Style:
Self-driven and able to work independently. - IT Proficiency:
Competency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for learning new systems. - Qualifications:
Prior administrative experience and knowledge of FOI processes are advantageous but not essential.
