Bid Co-Ordinator – East London Office – Major Main Contractor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the U.K’s premier building contractors as a Bid Co-Ordinator.

The contractor has a very strong reputation and has enjoyed positive growth throughout the recession and is looking to continue to grow through the coming years in the same manner.

As a Bid Co-Ordinator you will be part of the Pre-Construction Team involved in works from £5 – £100 + Million with projects in the Commercial, Education, Hotel, Mixed Use, High End Residential and Manufacturing Sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the compilation and production of high quality tenders ranging from £250k – £100 million +
  • Produce and compile accurate, timely and well-presented submission documentation for bids, tenders and PQQ’s.
  • Understand and develop the bid strategy and client’s specific requirements where appropriate.
  • Ensure agreed bid plans commitments are delivered on time and issues raised as appropriate.
  • Provide support and advice to the whole team during the tender process.
  • Manage various projects simultaneously including prioritising output.
  • Proof reading to ensure the accuracy of documents.
  • Arrange for covers, dividers and other artwork to be produced or developed for the opportunity; liaise with designers/printers to ensure timely production and delivery of printed materials.
  • Ensure all documentation is produced and delivered to the client within the appropriate timescale.
  • Maintain the bid files and input to bid databases according to best practices.
  • Follow bids until closure (win, loss, cancellation), and to provide lessons-learnt feedback on bids.
  • Have experience of using either Adobe InDesign and Microsoft packages
  • Creation, updating and maintenance of various in house libraries, project sheets and other reference material
