Receptionist required for a busy, friendly, doctors surgery in Edgware.
Hours of work:
-
Monday - Friday 2pm - 7pm
25 hours per week, but you may be asked to do additional hours to cover absence.
Pay is £12.71 perhour.
Please note thatthe successful candidate will need to start as soon as possible. When applying pleas estate your notice period that you have with your current employer.
Main duties of the jobTo answer general enquiries in person and over the phone.
To process repeat prescription requests.
Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and other visitors
Book transport when needed
Ensure reception and waiting areas are neat and tidy
Ensure total familiarity with all appointment systems in effect
Book appointments and recalls
Answer external and internal telephones promptly
Receive and makecalls as required. Divert calls and take messages as appropriate.
Ensure that thesystem is operational at the beginning of the day
To receive and accurately record messages for GPs, nurses and any other staff
To deal with patient requests for test results
Management ofmedical records
Documentation management
To act as chaperone on occasions for the doctors or nurses.
To attend training when organised by the Practice Manager
To attend meetings when necessary
Any other duties appropriate to the grade

Person Specification Location- Lives in the Edgware area
- Good written and verbal communication
- Experience of working as a medical receptionist - 1 year minimum.
